Replaceme is deliberately narrow. These are the practical limits that matter most.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the app, open Settings → Account → Delete account, or email support@replaceme.app. This deletes your server account and associated records plus this Mac’s local run history. Briefs already delivered to Messages stay there. See the Privacy Policy for retention details. Privacy Policy →
What does free include?
The Jev-powered launch includes Mail, iMessage and SMS, notifications, and Calendar context. One daily check at 08:00 plus two manual briefs, with up to three delivered briefs per day. A paid version with Jev and stronger reasoning is planned; it is not available yet.
Does Replaceme run while my Mac is asleep?
No. The free launch includes one scheduled check at 08:00, plus two manual briefs per day, with up to three delivered briefs. Your Mac must be awake. After sleep or a closed lid, it can run one overdue check when the Mac wakes.
Why does it need Full Disk Access?
Mail, Messages, and macOS Notifications keep their data in protected local databases. Replaceme uses this permission to read those sources. You review the permissions during setup and can revoke them in System Settings.
Will it catch every important message?
No. Replaceme makes a judgment and can miss an important item or surface an unimportant one. Do not rely on it for safety-critical, legal, medical, or time-critical communication.
What happens when I close the window?
The window closes, but Replaceme keeps running in the menu bar. Use Pause to stop scheduled and manual checks, or sign out. Quit closes the app, but its separate scheduled helper stays registered and follows your Pause setting. Pause before quitting if you want checks to stop.
